Re: Fave Ave Restaurant
Wed, December 17, 2003 - 11:20 PMI rank the gyro-cery right up there with the best of 'em. Sure can't beat the "ambience".
But my favorite bubble tea is *definitely* Pochi, across from the old University Heights school. -

Thu, December 18, 2003 - 7:18 PMHey, it's not everywhere that you can buy a pack of cig's in the front, and enjoy fine dining on the sofa in the back. -

Re: Fave Ave Restaurant
Fri, December 19, 2003 - 8:52 PMYeah, that new monolian grill sure can't be beat. I've convinced almost all my Chang's-fan friends that they can get better for half the price.
What an improvement from the McDonald's that used to occupy the space. -

Re: Fave Ave Restaurant
Wed, June 23, 2004 - 6:39 PMLittle Thai, Than Bros. & the nephew of the Little Thai owner's joint, Thai Tom...I would often whoop a cold (back when I was a amoker & had colds all the time) with a bowl of ten-star Tom Kha Gai. Ah, that went down a treat...& would later burn its way out. -

Re: Fave Ave Restaurant
Thu, June 24, 2004 - 6:54 AMBack when I was going to school, there were two restaurants I loved dearly, the Cedar, a lebanese joint where one could pick up a huge Falafal sandwich for $2.00 and the other place I worked at, Toscana, which made the best carbonara ever. I couldn't afford Toscana as a student, but since I worked there, the food was free on nights when I worked. After we'd shut down, Angelo would have the chefs make a huge dinner for everyone. Working there is what kept me alive sometimes.
